Hunt bows out of World Championships

Following his win over Boris Krcmar in round one, Adam Hunt returned to the Alexandra Palace
stage on Tuesday night to face Vincent van der Voort.

After the Dutchman opened the match with a maximum, Hunt capitalized on some poor doubling to
take the first leg. He would have a shot for set, but squandered an opportunity on double 14 off of a
107 combination as Vincent took advantage.

Hunt would breeze into a 2-0 lead in the second set, but after losing his scoring touch mid-set, but
find it going to a decider. After missing a dart at double 13, Van der Voort would pounce on double
five to double his lead.

‘The Hunter’ was never the same after those missed opportunities as Vincent honed in on round
three. Hunt would crack in a final 180 for luck, it what would be his last visit of the match, as Vincent
hit double 16 to end Hunt’s journey for the 2022 World Championships.
