Despite a much improved performance on night four of the Premier League in Exeter, Gary Anderson was defeated by a clinical James Wade.

The opening four legs went with throw, Anderson finding 64 in the second leg to settle the early
nerves. Double six would come to the rescue of the Scot in leg four as he levelled up once again.
Wade would stay steady on tops and continue to hold his throw but couldn’t shake off Anderson, as
the quarter-final tie reached four legs all.

‘The Machine’ would hammer home a magnificent 142 checkout to make it nine consecutive legs on
throw, before breaking in the tenth to confirm the win. A cruel blow for Anderson following a much-
improved performance as Wade sealed the win on double five.

The Premier League stars will return to action in Brighton next Thursday, with Anderson taking on
Michael Smith.

Before that the UK Open takes place in Minehead and features several Dunvegan Enterprises players : Gary Anderson, Adam Hunt, Cammy Menzies, Jamie Clark and Darren Beveridge.
