Gary Anderson ended on a positive note as consolidated his play-off spot going into the break with a last leg win over Nathan Aspinall.

It was a strong start from ‘The Flying Scotsman’ breaking the Aspinall throw in leg one before smashing home an 11 darter to double his advantage.

With a 130 average currently to his name, Anderson would make it 3-0, before his first missed darts at the outer ring allowed Aspinall some hope.

Following another Anderson hold of throw, ‘The Asp’ would manage to get on level terms for the first time in the match with both players averaging well into the hundreds.

A third break of throw would turn the tide the way of Anderson once again, before a crucial bounce-out allowed Aspinall the chance to draw within one leg once again.

In a sensational conclusion the match would go to a deciding leg, and with Aspinall sat on tops, Anderson would take out 70 to seal maximum points.

The players now enter a two day break from the action at the Marshall Arena, with the final four days of play commencing from Wednesday evening.
