Gary Anderson was denied a third consecutive win by table topping Glen Durrant as the two played out a stunning 7-7 draw in Milton Keynes.

‘The Flying Scotsman’ got off to the perfect start at he immediately piled the pressure on the league leader. Durrant, who has been ruthless since the return of the Premier league was not at his brilliant best, but did enough to play party pooper as he rescued a draw.

Right from the outset, Anderson looked comfortable, a 127 checkout giving him the early advantage. This lead would be build on in the following legs as Durrant struggled to maintain the high standards set over the past four evenings.

A tops tops checkout extended Anderson’s lead to three legs before a 116 checkout from ‘Duzza’ reduced the deficit. Six missed match darts were pounced on by the Middlesbrough man at the scoreline was taken to 7-5.

After Durrant clawed it back within one leg, a poor final leg from the Scot allowed his opponent off the hook as the spoils were shared at the Marshall Arena.
