The 25-year-old from Chester-le-street enjoyed a fulfilling 2017 as he finished third on the Development Tour order of merit, earning himself a two-year tour card for the professional tour.

He has since made a quarter-final appearance in Wigan, before coming through a last chance qualifier to make the 2019 PDC World Championships in the capital.

Hunt is of course one of a group of future stars learning under to tutelage of Gary Anderson, whilst the Scotsman has the experience advantage over Hunt, he will be hoping to mirror ‘The Flying Scotsman’s’ success on the board.
